I am with you always until the end of this world - Jesus (Matthew 28:20).

Preach the Word in season and out of season reproving, rebuking or advising always with patience and providing instructions (2 Timothy 4:2).

Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you (Luke 1:30).

My Reflection for May 12, Sunday Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord: Luke 24:46-53

My Reflection:
After forty days upon His resurrection and after many appearances to His disciples within that forty days. It is now mission accomplished for Jesus. He will now ascend into heaven to be at the right hand of God.

What does this signify to the disciples? This means that the responsibility to spread the gospel lies now on their hands. The disciples were very successful on this mission that was given to them by Jesus.  If they were not successful we would not have our faith right now.

How about us? What does Jesus wants from us as He now ascends to heaven? Jesus wants us all to become like the disciples. He wants us to evangelize also, Jesus wants us to witness for Him through our words and actions.

Sometimes we are afraid to embrace this responsibility because of our limitations. For example we may say, “How can I evangelize when I am not a good speaker?” But evangelization is not solely limited through speaking we can also evangelize through our actions.

We can now even evangelize thru the cyberspace by writing our thoughts about Jesus and His gospels. We think we can’t help Jesus spread the good news because we are imprisoned by our limitations.

But we must bear in mind that nothing is impossible with Jesus. Everything is possible with Him for as long as we believe and have faith. …
