I am with you always until the end of this world - Jesus (Matthew 28:20).

Preach the Word in season and out of season reproving, rebuking or advising always with patience and providing instructions (2 Timothy 4:2).

Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you (Luke 1:30).

Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. - G. K. Chesterton

My Reflections for Thursday February 16, Mark 8:27-33

My Reflections:
One of the come-ons of other churches is this slogan: “Join us and you’ll have a personal relationship with Jesus.” This must also be our aim: To have a personal relationship with Jesus. When we say we have a personal relationship with Jesus it means that Jesus is always part of our lives.

We pray to Him out from our hearts as often as possible, we read the bible daily, we are a constant presence at Mass and we practice the life of Jesus.

In our gospel, while Jesus and the disciples were walking He asked them: “Who do people say that I am?” Amongst them it was only Peter who answered correctly, when he replied: “You are the Christ.”

How about the other disciples? They were not able to answer correctly perhaps they have not yet achieved this personal relationship with Jesus.

Let us all aspire to know Jesus deeply and let us develop this personal intimacy with Him. …
