I am with you always until the end of this world - Jesus (Matthew 28:20).

Preach the Word in season and out of season reproving, rebuking or advising always with patience and providing instructions (2 Timothy 4:2).

Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you (Luke 1:30).

My Gospel Reflections for Thursday September 15: John 19:25-27

My Reflections:
While He was in agony on the cross Jesus still had His eye on the Blessed Mother’s wellbeing. That is why He called the attention of the beloved disciple: “Behold your mother.” He was in fact telling John the beloved disciple that she is now also your mother: Take care of her, respect her, protect her and love her as much as I took care of her, as much as I protected, her, respected and loved her.

These very words of Jesus reverberate up to now and it is addressed to us also. That we may respect, take care and protect the Blessed Mother and our very own mothers. It’s very easy to say that we respect and love the Blessed Mother and our mothers.

But in hindsight, how often do we pray the Rosary and how often do we communicate our acts of love for our mothers?
