I am with you always until the end of this world - Jesus (Matthew 28:20).

Preach the Word in season and out of season reproving, rebuking or advising always with patience and providing instructions (2 Timothy 4:2).

Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you (Luke 1:30).

My Gospel Reflections for Friday September 23: Luke 9:18-22

My Reflections:
Suffering is always part of our Christian discipleship for without suffering there’s no true discipleship. As we follow Jesus faithfully expect sufferings and persecutions here and there because this is the price that we have to pay for following Jesus.

Those who do not want to suffer will not dare follow Jesus faithfully they will just be on the sidelines passively observing and shielding themselves from any form of sacrifice.

Be not averse to sufferings embrace it the way Jesus embraced it for the reason that it is through your pains that you’ll have an up close and personal intimacy with Jesus. ...
