My Reflections for Tuesday August 23: Matthew 23:23-26

My Reflections:
Whether we admit it or not many of us are modern day Pharisees and scribes for we love to create external impressions that conditions the mind of those who see us.  But deep inside us we are sometimes different from the good person that we project.

As what we see in the gospel Jesus hates this kind of fake persona. Jesus wants us to be real, what you see is what you get. For example, if we want to show that we are humble and forgiving then we must be like that also even if no one is observing us anymore.

What if we are not humble and forgiving? Then we are challenged by Jesus to be one.  Let us turn our backs from our detestable attitudes Let us always model our lives to that of Jesus.

Thus we become living witnesses for Jesus.
