I am with you always until the end of this world - Jesus (Matthew 28:20).

Preach the Word in season and out of season reproving, rebuking or advising always with patience and providing instructions (2 Timothy 4:2).

Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you (Luke 1:30).

My Gospel Reflections for February 24, Thursday: Mark 9:41-50

My Reflections:
Every now and then the church solicits fund for its social causes and projects and there are those who always respond. In fact they regularly help the church not only by donating money they also donate their time and knowledge for the sake of the church.

Why do they donate? Why do they volunteer for the church? Because they know that it is in giving that they will receive graces from God. There’s always a reward that awaits those who help the church in whatever way or capacity.

But we don’t only give to the church because we are expecting something in return. We give our money and time for the reason that we love God and the church that He founded. Rewards or anything that we shall receive for our voluntary help for the church is only secondary.

Jesus in the gospel promised a reward for those who will help those who belong to Him.
