My Gospel Reflections for Saturday: Matthew 23:1-12, August 23

My Reflections:
Some politicians who are supposedly servants of the people are like the Pharisees and the scribes they preach what to do without practicing what they preach. They are most accessible during election season but when they are already elected they make themselves scarce from the public’s eyes. They love photo opportunities and publicity and after their term of office they are unsually richer, I wonder why? Is it because they’ve made themselves rich while they were in office?

A true servant/politician is somebody who is humble and selfless, who put forward the interest of the populace whom they serve and not their selfish interests.
